Hatteras Model
58' TRIPLE CABIN (1970 - 1976)
I'm sure many of you remember my good friend and fellow HOF'er Carl Guzman. He and I exchange emails on a regular basis, and I got one a little while ago which I thought was from him, but it wasn't.

The title of the email was, "Hey", something typical of one from Carl. Here is a copy of the email:

Hey --

Barack Obama recorded a personal video message with some exciting news about the future of the grassroots movement that came out of the campaign.

Take a minute to watch the video and get involved:

htp://my.barackobama.com/future

The challenges our country faces are too great for us to sit on the sidelines.

Thanks

Carl is NOT an Obama supporter, so I was expecting a joke. Instead it went to Obama's website. When I looked more closely at the email address and his name as it appeared on the email, it was missing a few letters, but not enough to make it look like an unfamiliar sender.

Here is where it gets strange and quite irritating. Instead of the sender's name being Carlos Guzman, it showed as Carlos Guzmn. As for the email address of the sender, it showed as globalmoergage@**** while Carl's real address is globalmortgage@****. The **** was identical.

This email was actually sent twice with the same time stamp. Quite frankly, I may never have even noticed the descrepancies had it not been for the fact Carl sent me an email earlier this morning which was directly below these.

What kind of BS is this? Anybody else receive such an email?

The link did go to Obama's site, so I'm hoping it's not some sort of virus.

Probably Russian Gonorhea. "rotcha kokoff" --- just wait till next week sparks!! ws

So Willie, you get one too or am I just special?

Sparky expect it to really get out of hand, the Obama 2.0 as its called is a group that has a multiple task role in subverting any conspiracy against Obama such as his eligibility or his dual citizenship, they are instructed to not only hype the Obama image but to also embed it like an Alabama tick, they are also data mining.

I know a bit about it as I am without getting long winded a supporter of groups that seek the truth against Obama, case such I had some comments I posted at FreeRepublic where I have been a member for years, within the hour my same comments were posted at DemocraticUnderground and twisted to make it sound like sedition and anarchist threats.

I have seen spammers get around anti-spam software like in yahoo by using the header "hey there" and such.

All I can say is this, e-mail is just the electronic version of using a megaphone of talking to someone in a stadium.

BTW, still got the 58 for sale?

As soon as Obama sends me my check it all yours, deal?

Randy is secretly a HUGE obama fan....Don't let him fool you.
This is just his way to try and convert others to his (demented)views.

Fess up Charlie, did you sign me up for this Obamagram? :D

Apparently there is a good bit of Obamaspam (with malware) going around according to snopes, but I've yet to see any info on this one or the technology that allows them to play with names like this. I get emails from myself all the time and know to can those without opening them.

I left out a letter in the link above so nobody would click on it and end up with something they didn't bargain for. So far so good here.

Don't look at me for that bird. Someone signed me up for "black enterprise" magazine. Sadly there is not much in there for me since I am not a member of the affirmative action thinkers. Too bad they could not send me something like "American enterprise" or some other mainstream magazine that was not biased.

I've seen email with links that looks legit but when you cursor over them they are actually taking you to a different site. You should always cursor over links in emails to see where they are really taking you as this is quite common in spam/virus emails. Even then, I cut and paste link from email into web-browser when from someone I haven't heard from in a while.

I get this type of thing all the time. Some spy wear is finding e mail addresses and then sending out spam disguised as being sent from someone you know.

Damn! Just Another "Right wing conspiracy" Overloading the website!

No ... i'm not guilty !! :-D
