Exhaust Riser Tank mounted directly above DD 871...has anyone replaced???

Hi Guys,

I'm considering a 1972 53MY with 871's and the original exhaust riser "tanks" mounted right over the engines.

My broker was kind enough to alert me to the danger of water getting into the engine should the tank "fail".

Has anyone had these modified and can you tell me the cost to do so per side?

It's from a 1972 53MY named (at the time) "Intermezzo" by the previous owner...now berthed in
Palmetto, FL...
