Engine room paint color...brand etc.

I need to do some painting in the engine room and wondered if anyone knows the color and type/brand of paint was used? I searched the forum and there was some discussion on the topic but no details in regard to paint color spec's or brand etc. It appears to be a eggshell...off white...looks like oil based...any info anyone has to nail down what I need would be great!

The folks at Sam's or Hatteras will likely be able to tell you what went in your particular boat, assuming a prior owner didn't repaint it with something else.

I have found that Rustoleum Canvas White is an exact match to what they used in the engine rooms, under the mattresses, and inside the galley and head cabinets.

I don't recall the original paint used, but I have had really good luck with Interlux Bilge Coat. I really like how easy it goes on and how easy spills are to clean up. The cost is way more reasonable than Awlgrip, and after application it seems to be a better coverage as well. Having a bright white engine room is such a nice thing not only to find problems, but after I added LED light down there the bright white seems to bounce the light around to all of the other areas that didn't get the light before. Very pleased.

Thanks one and all for your feedback....I found that the engine room had been repainted once already and after I removed the old phone system and several other things not being used anymore I really only needed to paint one wall. The rest of the engine room paint was in great shape and didn't need to be redone. The best match ended up being Interlux 4381 off white Polyurethane. You would never know the port side forward wall was repainted if you didn't know it.

use the new Pettit easypoxy 2 - more durable than the one -part bilgekotes , dries faster (hardens overnight -you can work on it next day ) and harder more chemical resist . . can go over the orig one part paint .
