Does anyone know or have the size of these cables, My look orogional and the markings are worn badly and cant read them.

I need to change both out in my 1975 53MY

I replaced them on my 12V71 last year. The cable I used was the Teleflex Black Jacket 3300 control cable. I got them from Jamestown distributors. The existing ones were red but these were a perfect fit just black in color. The length is going to vary based on your boat but the cable type should be the same. You could pull the old ones off and measure to get the length if you cant read them

Good point. If you do have to pull it to measure tie a pull rope to it for the next one.

Sams said they dont know what size they are so I guess I am back to square 1.

Just to make sure you, did check under the helm and in the engine room? Probably did but just verifying.

I just looked at mine and cannot see any numbers anywhere on them, however I think they are a standard 3300/33C cable from Morse or other manufacturers.

Chartmaker is going to check his as well. He thinks they are 12 to 14 feet. Will get back to you.

Just checked mine and I see absolutely no markings on either end of the cables. I’d run a fish tape from the top to the bottom and then mark it then measure it and go with that number. Just looking I’d guess 12 to 14 ft.
