I'm looking for a repair service for a Navico 6KW radar processor. Any suggestions with personal experience would be helpful.

Could be a tough one. Would contact https://maxmarineelectronics.com/ . Have purchased a few things from them over the years and have been great to work with. My Simrad 6kw radar on the CC crapped out last year, tried to get it fixed locally which was a waste of $$, ended up with a used 10kw unit from Max Marine Electronics because there wasn't any new units available at the time which was in perfect condition. Also might want to try Ebay. Unfortunately Marine Electronics of the Outer Banks has stopped doing bench repairs.

Also, you have to make sure the software version on the processor will work with your electronics. As an example some of the older processor versions no longer work with the EVO3 units after Simrad forced certain updates on users that had previously integrated. Great way to sell new radar units........

I'm using NSE plotters and my electronics operate on 12 volts. The 10kw and 25kw are 24 only. Those processors are readily available but not the 6kw processor.

We used a 12v to 24v step up voltage converter for the 10kw. Didn't have space for the 6 foot antenna so we used the 4' from the 6kw radar. I always thought the 6kw worked really well, 10kw is much better. Have the 25kw on the Hatteras which is really insane, also came from Max Marine.
There's a chance we might have the 6kw box in the garage, know we scrapped the antenna. Will check over the weekend.

Thank you for the advise and checking for the 6kw processor. When you used the 10kw processor with the 6kw array were you just adding the 24 transformer or were there additional modifications to the system? Thank you again for the feedback.

10kw was an entire kit including a new wire between the processor box and the 10kw antenna. I'm thinking the wire was different than the 6kw unit, but not sure. Everything else remained the same including the Simnet and other pieces and parts. Hardest part for us was getting the 4 foot array unbolted from the antenna, think my good friend 5200 had been involved.
Loved the the NSE MFD's, only changed because of the limitations with the new sounder box and other new add ons.

Did you use the 10kw processor with the 6kw array?

No, we changed out everything except for re-using the 4 foot "antenna" instead of the 6 foot antenna the Max Marine unit came with.
The 6 foot antenna is hanging in my garage new in the box.
We were getting a "no spoke" error. Repair guy thought there was a bad part in the array which he changed out. Still didn't work which is why we got a different unit. Could have been the processor box, which wasn't available, but I had had enough at that point.
Feel like the 6kw units are problematic.
Newer electronics just aren't like the old Furuno stuff that would last and last, thinking 5 years is about the life today.
