Electra scan ?

I am considering installing a Raritan Electrascan on my Master head.
. I am a full time live aboard and our Marina does not provide pump outs.
My concern is that ii switched this head to fresh water to get away from he smell of salt water.
If I swap this head with the guest salt water head and add the lectrascan will I get orders again ?
Thanks for any thoughts ?

In California they are being banned. They say you’re not allowed to put anything in the waters unless 3 miles out to sea. Check your future regulations to make sure you’re not wasting your money.

I think that system relies on the salt water as part of the electrical/chemical process.

Instead of installing the lectrasan on the just master head install it on the holding tank macerator with the Hold n Treat control This way you can treat all the heads, not just the master.

As to NDZ, check your home marina and harbor. Many harbors and bays indeed have restrictions on discharging treated black water but there are no state wide ban in Ca. Check the EPA website for NDZ by state

I am in the Clearwater Fl gulf coast area. My concern is does this system smell up the head like regular salt water systems.
I almost feel foolish for caring because we have had documented multi million gallon raw sewage dumps by St. Pete , Sarasota and of course Lake Okeechobee over the last couple of years. With no end in sight of this not going to be repeated again this year.

Your right Pascal, however the areas that are covered include almost all of the boating spots in Ca.

Go to a Purasan. The fresh water alternative. No smell! I love mine.
