Replacing a cf2-g3-du 240v breaker.
The replacement I have has the aux. contacts on the back.
Any issues with just removing the aux contacts and installing the breaker?

I would say yes to your approach. Since these breakers are long discontinued I made a point years back to collect a variety suitable for my boat. In doing so I learned quite a bit about these breakers and there are many different arrangements on the rear depending on the use of the breaker. In situations where failure is not an option, there is a style of connection that will, after a trip event, energize a separate circuit for a light or even another breaker downstream. They come in 1 amp and maybe even less then up to big voltage and amperage such as yours, regardless the vast majority operate identically between the two main lugs.
