Drink Ice in the Sink, No More

We carry ice for drinks in gallon zip lock bags, and have generally put the bag in the boat sink to mix drinks, our last island trip inspired me to find an alternative. I could not find an ice bucket that suited me, so I made one.

A gallon capacity plastic bin surrounded by meranti plywood trimmed with teak and insulated with foil bubble insulation. A Hatteras decal from Sam's finished things out.

Good question. I wondered about that, but I like the look. Anyway, the overall appearance of the 43DC remained the same for about 13 years, dating back to 1971 which would cover the vintage logo.

Thank you all for the nice comments about my ice bucket. I won't be able to make them as party favors, but will be pleased to fix you a drink from it at the Wharf.
