Buying a 1987 43MY with the original Vacuflush system. My current boat has macerating Jabscos that will take about anything you put down them and turn it into a fine slurry. Is there a macerator somewhere in the Vacuflush system, or does everything somehow get passed through as-is?

The system is made to pass chunks

Under the head base is a small hole (dime size?) everything is drawn thru when you push the foot lever. This is your macerator.

The old joke; boat owners with Vac-Flush don't eat corn.

There are rubber fittings in the system called duck bills that basically squish solids. Not quite a macerator like the "garbage disposal" built in to your old system, but they have the same effect. They also have bellows pumps that can handle the solids that pass thru the system. They also maintain the vacuum in the system. There are some good diagrams online that explain it in detail.
