Doc's Holiday Texas to Maine...finished for season

[Docs Holiday]

We have completed our cruise from Texas to Maine but instead of heading back to Florida for the winter we decided to winter the boat at Hinckley Yachts in Southwest Harbour, Maine. There are areas like Machias Seal Island which has a puffin colony that we just didn't get to see. I would like to thank those of you in the Hatteras Owner's forum for all the information and help....especially Pascal...the info on his web site..in particular when coming up the ICW to leave 1 to 2 hours after low tide and stop 1 to 2 hours before low tide made the run much less stressful. In fact after having to redo props 4 times getting to St Augustine, we never touched bottom again following his advice!
It has been an adventure. I didn't put a lot on this site figuring anyone who was interested could just go to the blog site to view pictures and events ( www.cruisingwithdoc.blogspot.com )

My inlaws have a summer place in Northeast Harbor ME. right around the corner from Hinckley's.
