Hatteras Model
48' MOTOR YACHT-Series I (1981 - 1984)
I'm looking to ship one of my boats to So Fla and am in need of a yard that can store it on the hard for a month or two while we make her ready to take to her berth in Boca Raton. Anywhere North or South by about 40 miles of Boca will be fine.

Cracker Boy in Ft Pierce. It may be more than 40 miles......

In Miami I had a good experience at Hurricane Cove Marina on the Miami River. PH 305 324 8004. Remember to ask about bridge openining times as the Miami River snakes through downtown Miami and there are times during rush hour that certain bridges won't open on demand. Good Luck,

River Bend in Ft Lauderdale or Playboy in Dania Beach.

murrelle marine in lantana is the do it yourself marina closest to boca. i have used it for decades. (561)582-3213

As was mentioned, Playboy in Dania is the big one around Lauderdale. Gotta love the name, too!

Thanks for the responses.... I understand Playboy only lets you stay a week or two at most. I will call the folks in Lantana

Walter,

There are two Cracker Boy Mainas, the other is at Riveria Beach. 561-465-7031. I'm not sure that either will allow you to stay aboard while working on it.

There is also a small marina at the upper end of the Mannatee Pocket that we have used and you can stay aboard. It's close to resturants etc. I could not find the name in the cruise guides, but local information ought to retrieve it if that is of interest.
