I have a 10 foot hard bottom inflatable dingey--ie West marine - that is leaking-appears to be at point where fiberglass bottom meets the inflatable--What are the options- something I can repair myself (?how??) - send it back to factory ( out of warranty now) or discard and buy new??

it's probably hard to get to and do it right... check with an inflatable repair shop. I had a Worst MArine by Zodiac roll up which started leaking soon after being out warranty... started at the transom, then the bottom starter coming apart from the tubes. i tried repair kits, inflatable glue, etc... never got it dry again ! there were two lips glued onto the tube but only 3/4 " wide.. not enough surface. the last repair i did was with 5200 ! no laughing please... it worked better than the inflatable glue/kits but not perfect...

for a rib, it's probably worth paying a shop to do it...

Thanks - anyone know of an inflatable repair shop I can contact?

I would recommend talking to people who have used repair services before I sent one in. I sent one in to the factory authorized repair facility out on the east coast no less than 3 times, each time with hundreds of dollars in charges, to have the repair last only for a few uses. I am sure someone out there is good at it, I just don't know who. When my Zodiac got a hole, I used Zodiac's repair kit, followed the tedious instructions and have not had a leak since! That was about a year ago.
