Diesel Pro Power

Has anyone used Diesel Pro Power in Miami, Fl. for engine parts? Their website is very user friendly and they seem to specialize in Detroit Diesel and Allison, not to mention they are local to me.

I have noticed though that some parts are name brand and others appear to be made in-house. For example, I just purchased a set of cables to replace the engine emergency shutdowns, and the cables did not have any manufacturer markings stamped on them like the OEM Morse cables do.

I also purchased a pair of oil pressure gauges that have their initials printed on them (DPP) to look similar to other big brands.

I’m just wondering if they are a reputable source for good quality parts or if they should be avoided.

They ve been around for a long time and are pretty busy. I bought a few couple of things from them a while back and sold them my 8V71s cores when I repowered. They gave me peanuts but they weee the only one willing to buy them. Peanuts were better than nothing

Several years ago I purchased 8 of the foam "socks" that go over the air cleaners. I installed 4 and stowed the other 4 in the engine room When I went to use them they disintegrated in my hands as I pulled them out of the plastic bags! Heat in the ER I guess. The old ones I was replacing also fell apart as I tried to remove them! Not impressed for $14 each!

Your going to find a bunch of NON-OEM parts there. Most will work but for important kits,, order the real overhaul parts.
I would not call it all made in China , but I'm sure a lot is if not OEM.
