My 74 36C has Cat 3160's. After running there is always an odor in the cabin of diesel. I have checked all fittings, fuel, exhaust, etc... No leaks or fumes escaping that I can find. No leaks into the bilge. What are my options for attempting to eliminate this smell. It will usually dissipate after about two hours or so. I have looked at those Ozone Ionizers and their testimonials say they work. I want to know for sure before spending 400.00 on one. Any help is appreciated.

Is that the smell of raw diesel fuel or of exhaust diesel fumes ...yeah, I know both are probably bad for you, but I like the smell of both...at some points in time...

I have read that using an ozone air freshening system on a boat is not good. The ozone will cause some rubber to deteriorate. There might even be something about it on a past posting on this forum. Try using the search feature..
Worth double checking at the least......
