So I've owned my boat for 2 years. Been doing a good job on maintaining systems. Have been checking Coolant with test strips couple times a year. Coolant tests out good, is visually clean, never needs top off and keeps my 8-92's between 150-175 depending on load.
When I asked PO what type of Coolant he used, I was told Dexcool. Ut oh.....
Even though Dexcool seems to be working well for me, I've read stories that it is to be avoided due to sludge build up.
What's the consensus on the best coolant for 8-92's that do not see freezing weather?
