On my 1990 Hatteras 41 convertible, the molded counter surface in the head has some serious problems - I am thinking a prior owner got some corrosive material on it which ate thru the plastic (or whatever it is) surface, both on the forward end and the area around and within the sink. Any idea's of how I might repair? One suggestion is to remove the whole surface, cut a new one out of plywood and resurface with formica, put in a bowl and replace. Another suggestion was to try to find someone who does fiberglass body work or bathtub refinishing and see if they have material I can put on it and repair what is there without removing.
Would appreciate any idea's and Thanks!
