Day Labor in Ft Lauderdale

Does anyone know where you can pickup some hard working day labors in Ft Lauderdale?

Want to supervise on my stainless and other cleaning projects, like the bilges, etc.

On The Triton, online, I saw in the Classified section a "Dayworker Available" section. I didn't go through it, but you might want to see if there is anything in there that might be useful to you.

You can get plenty at the "day labor pool"...Course if you want ones that speak English.....

I found it best to ask guys at a marina who are working for a boat cleaning company if they do side work. This sometimes requires some command of Spanish. You want someone who knows something about working on boats, not some guy/gal who may be a brick layer or house painter or landscaper. You also want to see first hand their work ethic. I've found some good workers that way to help with miscellaneous projects.

If you don't have access to a marina, I'd ask around at a place like McDonald's Hardware (first stop that comes to mind), Sailorman or BOW all clustered there on SR 84. There are usually crew and captain types shopping/hanging around there who can steer you to just about anything. You might ask (I haven't) at a yard like Lauderdale Marine or Playboy that allow DIY work.
