I have been looking to upgrade my davit to a newer style low profile. I found a picture of one but I cant tell what brand it it is? Hopefully if the picture uploads!!! somebody can tell who makes it.

Chances are that it is either Marquipt or Nautical Structures.

SKY thats a nick Jackson Davit. He builds them in Washington State. I was just working on one on a friends Pama 58 and, while it seems to be made pretty will, I thought some of the components were pretty dodgy. and he has been chasing wiring gremlins since he installed it over a year ago.

Also, for what its worth, the manuals were a joke and tech support was "hire a local electrician."

The best experience i have had was with Marquipt on my old boat.

Thanks guys, I just had no clue who made the one in the picture. I agree with you Sky that Marquipt or Nautical Structures are the best way to go, now if only I can find one local, slightly used and in my price range.
