Davit Winch

Have an old Golo 700 Davit Winch that doesn't work. Has anyone done a direct winch swap? Curious about the winch mount bracket , if the old points are interchangeable or not.

If you done one, did you have to make a new bracket? Its up On the aft flybridge on a 58 YF.

It's in pretty bad shape, the case is all corroded. The new ones look to be a lot smaller size for the same weight. Even the Golo brands are differnt.

I have always liked their winches. Hate their switch controls.

I’ve rebuilt mine several times. The drum rots out but it’s not too bad to replace.
