Can’t seem to find info on it…. But do the old cruise air split systems have condensation drains at the evaporator unit near the vent? It’s not just the vent wetness it’s steady stream like a drain on the air intake side.seems my master unit is just draining water into the master closet .73 58 yachtfish.

Of course they do

On the 53 MY and I suspect the 58YF the drain hose starts at the pan under the evaporator against the hull in the closet. The hose goes behind a panel to the sea chest, under the evaporator. Chances are the hose is blocked with slime.

Thanks so much! I couldn’t really see in there. I’ll dig in now I know what I’m looking for.

Put a bromine tablet in the pan and let it sit in the water, it will shortly unclog itself and won’t clog up again as long as there’s some tablet left. They last quite awhile.

That works as preventive maintenance but once the hose is clogged whatever you put in the pan isn’t going to reach the clog. Easiest way it is to pull the hose off the sea chest and use a shop vac to suck the slime out. Or for air handlers where the pan drain is easier to reach, pull the hose and apply water pressure from a dock hose to flush it

Frequently it's dust that has washed down there and clogged it. If you can find the drain hole and push a wire through it, that will usually unclog it.

Everytime I ve had one of the hoses clogging up, it s a gel like substance. You can’t clear it lit a solid blockage with a wire. Only water or air pressure as well as a shop vac pulls it out.
