  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
54' MOTOR YACHT (1985 - 1988)
Congrats to Robby and Bren on the purchase of MV TUCANDU, 1973 43' DCMY. Sea trial and survey were conducted today and all went well. TUCANDU was a wonderful boat for our Great Loop trip, and will serve Robby and Bren equally well when they do their loop. She's a great boat, and I know they will be great owners.

Congrats Robby and Bren...also to Bill and his wife!
We saw Tucandu last year and must agree, she is a great yacht and it was obvious that no money was spared in her care! Happy yachting.
So, Bill what is next in this adventure we call life? Another yacht? ppat and ws

Bill:

We bought a 1988 54' HAT motoryacht. It's in Ft. Lauderdale now having some work done (window frames pulled and sand blasted/painted, galley updates, minor mechanical stuff) before we bring it back to Sanford, Fl. Our plan is to cruise her up the east coast during the summers to visit some of the places we missed on our loop trip, maybe spend some time in the Bahamas. Gotta do it now before I get too old.

By the way, do you still have the Whaler cradles?

Congratulations! Yep... the cradles are still there with your name on them. Theyre marked down to 1000.00 this week only LOL let me know! ws

Congratulations Robby and Bren. Hope the new boat serves you well and allows you to fulfill your dreams. I bet if you trim it right, it will make one hell of a wake as you pass by your "friends". ;)

Congrats Robby, Bren! Looking forward to hearing of your new adventures! You got a great one!

You found a great boat. I remember seeing it in Pentwater, MI last year.

Not only do we have a great Boat but great new friends friends. Thanks to Bill and Kathline and everyone who has contributed to this site and taken a minute to answer a question for Brenda and I.We are just starting and know it.We have a great deal to learn. The Boat will stay at Sanford till Nov 1 and will probably come up to Dog River for a month or so and then about Jan1 We plan on moving it up to Demoplis at their new Marina. That makes it a two hour drive to the boat or 45 minutes in our Cessna 172.Gonnabees nomore,We are. Thanks Bill!!!!

Hey Robby and Brenda,

Congradulations, I know you did alot of research and got a wonderful boat. Maybe we'll se you this fall as we head to the Florida Keys and Bahamas for the winter. We usually stop at dog river for a day or two to refuel etc.

Ron

Don't forget to get up to Jarrett Bay in Beaufort for the free Petit bottompaint you won at the Hatteras Owners School! Congrats on the new member of the family.

Thanks Larry:Bill and I and the guys at Boat Tree Marina pulled the Boat last Friday and it could use the paint. We only cleared the concreat by a coke caps thickness and it was exciting.Bill ran off to get some touch up paint while the bottom was washed and I changed the zincs. It was 100degrees in the shade and they wanted the boat in the water instead of hanging on the lift.Soooooo No touch up.Bill Root is an extrodanary guy.Hope you get to meet him,Kathline also.We have encouraged them to do the Hatt U .Administrater and Roger whats up with that?Robby
