Anyone ever heard of P & C Diesel, Pat Dover from the central east coast area of Florida? He has rebuilt a set of 8v92's - 720hp that I am looking at in an 1987 Hatteras. 450 Hrs since rebuild. Any comments would be appreciated.

OK, here goes...I had Tim Hunt from TH's Marine to my boat for some routine maintenance two weeks ago. We were talking while he was in my bilge, and discussing me having him run the racks on my 8v92N's. He told me (as the owner of his business) that he can do it, and will be happy to, but if I want it perfect to call Pat. Now, let me tell you that where I keep my boat it's next door to a 45 Ocean with 671's, and Tim just spent two weeks tuning up, working on, and perfecting these motors. When it came to the racks, he told Mike (who owns the Ocean) to get Pat to the boat. I would have to say after running that Ocean, IMHO I would certainly call Pat when I'm ready for work to be done...Not routine stuff, but technical or precision stuff.

Also be sure you know just what "rebuilt" means....there are many different definitions..a detailed bill record is essential to define what was done...
