cleaning Sunbrella

Suggestions on best way to wash Sunbrella, on the boat and off it? Mine needs attention. I know they have factory recs, but I am interested to hear what other HOF members have done and how well it's worked.

If it's just sunbrella and no isenglass you can just put it in a commercial washing machine. That seems to work the best if you have that option. Just remember to waterproof it again.

Virtually all our interior and exterior upholstery was Sunbrella. I followed the factory recs. Be sure to retreat it with 303 fabric protector. For spot stains and cleaning, I found Clorox Clean Up to very effective; West Marine branded fabric cleaner worked well for light cleaning jobs. We once washed all the flying bridge bench cushion covers in a washing machine closely following the factory specs, came out great.
