That's a 53ED not a 54

Well, I can't either. I can edit the text, but not the title.

Amazing how live aboards hog these boats up. Living in Florida I’m hearing all the time. “We sold our house for a stupid price and bought a yachet to live the wanderlust life. But now my company says get your butt back in the office or you’re history. Now the boat isn’t worth what we paid for it because my wife painted the afrimosa mauve and screwed live love laugh signs everywhere. Plus we urinated all our house money away drinking $20 mimosas and peniscolatas at the marinas waterfront bar. Now we need to move in with the in-laws in BF Pennsyltuky and go back to work. Be funny if it wasn’t true.

LOL!!! Very true. They just use them up to the point of no return.

Just because you can afford to buy the boat, doesn't mean you can afford to own the boat.

From what I can see it doesn’t look that bad. Ready for a repower.

I am tiring of all these you tubers that buy these wrecks and want to use them as vrbo or air b n b. Nice boats go to ruin and the wrecks get left at ancohorages to make the whole area look bad. I would hate to have the slip next to that one.

Rsmith, that's one of the most enlightened and funniest post I've read in a long time. So much said in so few words.

Pennsyltuky, now that’s funny!

Hear hear! We were refurbishing ours to cruise full-time, and there are at least 3 on VRBO and AirBnB that are pristine but rotting at the dock due to disuse.

The owners of those boats ought to sell them to people who will actually use them as boats.

I lived aboard for years, but the rule was the boat had to be ready to take out within half an hour.

Clear the decks, close the port lites, check the oil, check for water coming out the back and turn on electronics. If it takes 1/2 hour I’m really hung over.

Very true Jim, my boat was always ready for an afternoon or a weekend. More planning for a longer trip but just food and beer!
