All,

For those who have converted to the small form factor GC8 eight volt golf cart batteries (NON-Trojan!) there are a few NOS Flow-Rite systems on eBay.

Basically, if you have the most common 2.5" cell spacing (US Battery) but not Trojan (2.3") the kits have enough parts for your eight batteries. These are for standard quarter-turn caps and will not work with the smaller 3/4" 4D or 8D battery fills.

Search for "Flow-Rite BG-E64V-2 Battery Watering System" and the current offer is $49.99

Breaking down the numbers: "BG" is the Pro-Fill line, "E64V" means a 64V total system voltage comprised of 8 GC8 batteries, and "-2" is the manifold spacing (meaning these are the "red" quad manifolds).

It is configured as two 32V banks for some model of E-Z-Go golf cart but I bought one to see if it would work--perfect fit for my setup!

Normally you might expect to pay $200 for each bank, so this is a great price for new equipment, especially since you get both banks for about $50.

I added it to my watch list and the seller offered a 10% discount a few hours later, so I took the plunge.

I have centerline batteries which lined up well with the included tubing, but some other applications may require you to buy the o-ring tee fittings from Flow-Rite and use standard hose.

Beautiful job Dan.

great looking out. Same seller has the 32v kits, waiting to hear if it fits the 2.5" or 2.3"

Thank you

I put a similar filling system in 7 years ago. Best 400.00 I’ve ever spent. I can fill all ports in less than 10 seconds.

Is there something like this for a pair of 8Ds?

The websites I looked at seemed very specific for like fork lifts and stuff.

Absolutely. You can find them on the Internet, Amazon sells them, you might wanna go down to your local battery shop and see if they carry them that way you can make sure you’ve got the right depth of float.

What do you attach that setup to, a tank of distilled water or something? I'm super interested in this, my fat butt is not built to get into the nether reaches of the generator room.

The ones I have. Have a 2 gallon tank with quick connect fittings, super easy and fast.

I also have a two gallon jug. There are 3 ways to set it up. Rubber squeeze ball to pump water in. A pump like a soap dispenser or battery powered pump. I have the pump. It’s so easy.

Mine just gravity feeds when I set the tank above the batteries

Brett, their is a difference in the cap style (screw or press) and the depth, but that's about it.

These guys on the lower right portion have a selector section for 4D/8D types.

unfortunately I can't find any information online and calling flow-rite only provided "obsolete part number". The seller provided manifold and valve numbers and I still can't find any definite info. The same company posted above has manifolds for the 2.3" and 2.7" for $6/ea, still a great deal
