Ahhh, Insurance People. Got to love them.
OK, I've been asked to provide (or show) the Certificate of Compliance for my '83 48' MY. Hell, I don't know if it's in the original documentation from Hatteras, or if there is some little silver plate stuck on a bulkhead somewhere.

Anybody know where it might be?

I'm not sure that there is such a thing on the older boats. That sounds to me like a newer, small boat/runabout type of plaque. I've had customers from Europe ask for this. What country are you in?

Ummm. California?
(( I mean, I know we're the "Left Coast" and everything. But "another Country?" Wow.....))

:P

Never heard of such a certificate on/about my Hatt.

When the US finally secedes from California, it WILL be another country! :)

Are they talking about the "NMMA" stuff? (cap placard for smaller boats, "yacht certified" for larger)?

If so the older Hatts don't have one to the best of my knowledge as it didn't exist at that time.

Make one yourself, come up with some clever words, engrave them on a brass plaque and screw it to the boat, take a picture and send it to your clueless insurance Co.

My '73 has no such plaque, I'm pretty sure.
