Not Currently A Hatteras Owner
Still looking for a 53 Hatteras MY but stumbled across a local 53' Cave Cove Sport Sedan that looks pretty solid. Did some research on their history and they seem to be Canada'sversion of a Hatteras. Does anyone here have experience with them or knowledge oftheir quality?

Never heard of a Canadian version of a hatt. Just looked them up and they seem to very different style wise to a hatt. I have no experience with them but the discussed a 79 footerms with twin 720 hp 8v92's doing 25 kts. That's a bit higher than I'd expect for a boat that big.

To clarify the Hatt statement. They seem built like a tank to handle very harsh seas like a Hatteras. Not necessarily the design. They build for the Canadian CC and N Pacific.

Candian Coast Guard and North Pacific Waters.

raised pilot house. Much better layout than the hatts. Sit in the cockpit/aft deck at water level. Nice looking boats.

Check to see if they have an owners web site, and ask some questions.

Here is the Owner's Association web-site: http://canoecovering.com/
There is some interesting reading on the history of the company.
