Hatteras Model
34' CONVERTIBLE (1965 - 1969)
So who will find the major F-up on this template first and the date is July 2009
so six years and nobody called Garmin to tell them or has Garmin just Ignored it.

O.K one hint has to do with Math!

It looks square but the numbers don't match.

Hey, what's 10 mm between friends (or holes)? :D

When you look at published illustrations closely you find lots of serious errors. For example in the Detroit 6-92 manual many of the illustrations are of 8-71s.

And its not 10 mm

If you went by their #s in print and drilled a roof or bracket you would be pretty pissed off!

Yep, I would be. I just assumed it was square, but like Scott said, the numbers don't match. That's where I came up with my 10 mm difference. Are we missing more than that?

Hard to read on the pic you posted, but 5-33/64" is 130.97mm. 7-1/8" is 180.98mm. Or am I misreading the fractions?

Also, when you label two dimensions "A" they should both be the same.

So the question is can you mount it or will this be a 2-3 year project?

Pictures will be required.

I wanna see pics of the holes he repaired in his roof. :D

Bingo
It is 200mm which is 7 -7/8" Not 7 1/8" as it says on the template.

I didn't drill into my roof I have inserts and I made an adapter for it and found the mistake then because check everything then make the piece.

Pictures to come and its on and running will shake it down tomorrow typical Garmin t update software and your off so user friendly.

Is the template accurate. The ones I've used were right on. Tape it to the alum plate, punch and drill. Although I usually use an edson mast and adapter.

Yes template was correct But some of us use machines with digital read out so you go by #s when things looked strange I started checking things !
Thats when I saw 7 1/8" 200 mm :p

So you going to call Garmin and Ask if I am the First person that found their F-UP after 6 years of printing these templates?
Or did they just Blow it off?

I'll run it past them.
