Can anyone identify this Galley Maid fitting?

  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
58' LRC (1975 - 1981)
I'd like to order a replacement and spare of these water inlet fittings, but not sure what they are called or where to find them. They are "expanding" rubber seal type fittings with a threaded PVC pipe.

They are on the back of my GalleyMaid heads

You push the assembly into the head, then turn the large 1 7/16 nut to expand the seal. After that (if successful) you thread a barbed PVC fitting and hose to it.

Did a bunch of searches, but have come up empty so far.

Picture is attached (hopefully)....20240608_073817.webp

Looks just like the Raritan Crown fitting. It attaches to the top back of the bowl for rinse water.
Raritan has a poor term for theirs, Bowl Elbow.

I will call Razz and Galleymaid on Monday.

Raritan "bowl elbow" doesn't look quite like the same part, but appreciate the suggestion

I am hoping that this isn't some part made out of "unobtainium"

You might try (I know this sounds crazy) plumbing supply houses if you have any local to you. I had to replace a hard-to-find (i.e., nobody had it) 2" bronze T-fitting on our holding tank right after we arrived in Ft Myers. Home Depot, Lowes, marine supply stores all shook their heads, then I remembered Ferguson Plumbing Supply (they have specialty supply houses for building trades, HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical) and they had plenty of them. Even gave me a discount.

Do you need one or just want to have a spare.I may be able to make something work from my stuff box/bins.

Guys, thanks for the quick replies. We are in the Exumas, so not going to find one here, that's for sure. We have the old one working, but I will want to replace it when I get back. Also, I'll get a spare for the other 3 heads, just in case.

Back at home, I am in Punta Gorda, so close to the suggested plumbing supply places ie Furgeson, etc. I think I'll start by calling Galleymaid and Razz tomorrow to see what they say.

I should have posted a few more pictures, but this is not a regular bulkhead fitting as there is no way to get a nut on the inside of the bowl. It's more of a "drain plug" style fitting you'd find on a small boat. Where you push the rubber side into the hole, then turn the large nut - making the rubber fitting inside the hold expand.

Fortunately, not critical at this time so I'll see what GM and Razz say tomorrow and let the group know.

You're in Punta Gorda? I'm in Ft Myers. I'm available if you need a free helper. PM me for contact info.

Rob, Thanks, I will get in touch with you when we return to FL - probably early July. If nothing else just to say hello and have a beer!
