OH, That's RIGHT! I FORGOT about you looking for a decent 58YF that needs work! Although you may be able to sell one of the 12V71's to FREEBIRD, that boat is probably not the boat you are thinking of. Cajun Hatt Trick is actually a 58 Triple Cabin that has a cockpit extension. This means no split-engine rooms and no sliding salon doors to step away from the helm and grab a spring line. Then, on the other hand, you may WANT one engine room under the salon floor for one big diesel-electric engine to twist both screws. The Awlgrip looks GREAT and she IS stabilized......maybe you should give old YachtsmanBill a call!

Naw...... too early..... plus, I still got the "where do I put the damn thing" problem.....

I was on a friend's 43C (Hatt, of course) yesterday talking about what I wanted to do with one of the YF. Drew blank stares like I was a madman - until I explained that at the 8.5kts we were doing at the time, he was probably developing all of 50-75 horsepower, and burning about a gallon per mile.

Now, I said, consider a sailboat auxiliary, which could develop that same power and push the boat at the same speed while burning 3-4gph.

The light suddenly went on......

He has a bid, but it is just under half of the "Buy it Now". I'm sure the reserve is much closer to the "Buy it Now" amount than his open bid. It will be interesting to watch it unfold!
