We are in Bhamas on our 1989 67ft CPMY and this is our issue:

Selector switch at bottom of panel to choose source 1 or 2 pushed in 1/2" when doing some maintenance and will not come out again. The result is the s3lector know cannot be attached as it will not clear the panel. See attached pic on left is good unit on right notice it's retracted.

How can I get this back out called guys in NJ where no help Send it to me he said mentioned did you hear me in Bahamas so not an option. Unit functions correctly just need get this arm out.

Hel0, thoughts appreciated

Alex

They just pull out. You can remove the shaft completely by pulling on it.

These rotary switches are made by Kraus Naimer. They usually don't do this by them selves,, but it happens on boats sometimes when owners are onboard. F M

The Fix;
Pulling that shaft back out is what you are going to do.
NOT pulling it out to far/out is the quest.
Out to far could be a problem we want to avoid.

I would remove all power, open the panel door and with a good sized needle nosed pliers, jack that shaft back out bit by bit matching the height of the other switch shaft.

Pulling it out too far is not a problem. You can pull it out completely and just re-insert it. Power on or off makes no difference. It doesn't come in contact with anything but plastic in there.

Thank you guys just got back in cell service to check will give it a gentle tug SLOWLY will my large needle nose pleats tomorrow appreciate the help

It worked pulled slowly it took a few but once it started it pretty much eased out.Thank you for the assist we have been out of cell service last few days but wanted let you know was successful
