  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
34' CONVERTIBLE (1965 - 1969)
Looking to buy a deeded boat slip somewhere in the area for future use. Around 50' long by 18'+ wide and of course deep. Looked at Longboat Moorings which is nice but not really for us. But may circle back to this. Finding that where I know there are dockominiums it is hard to locate owners or who handles sales. One here in Madeira beach at the Marriott but still have not found a contact.

Anyone aware of slips for sale? Looking Clearwater down to maybe Longboat. A slip up in the bay would be considered.

Have you looked at Pasadena Yacht & Country Club in South Pasadena. There are a couple of slips the size you referenced for sale.

Next to the Clearwater aquarium is Island yacht club Marina.
I regularly see slips for sale there.

I saw one yesterday too small adverised at $1,192,000!

Boat slips of 60 feet near Jupiter are 300,000 for a sixty footer
They sell very quickly

I think they are a good investment. With mom and pop marinas getting bought up by big companies and all the new boats sold, having an owned slip will be well worth it. Easy to rent out until I need it and then when I do want to use it I think prices will be off the charts like waterfront houses are now. Right now I have boat slipped behind my house that I could not afford to buy today.
As expensive as the slips are now it will be much higher in 10 years.

Check out Riviera Dunes in Palmetto. Concrete floating docks in a condo complex. Slips are individually owned and many are also available to rent

I will second Paul's suggestion. The Riviera Dunes is a nice place, a little remote from Tampa but definitely worth a look.

Riviera is on the list but not quite where we want to be. Also there are only 3 remote docks with deeded slips not connected to the nicer part of the property. But very well could end up where we land. It is well protected which is a big factor.

How much do they get for slips and what are the monthly fees?

Looked this up. $20 a foot per month annual. I also see I was wrong about which slips are deeded. The 2 listed now are on the main south dock. Listed are $140k and $149k. Going to drive down and check this out. I’ll find out about HOA fees, taxes, and how renting it out is handled.

Going to treat this like a first house. Get in the game now and build equity so I can move up later if needed. Been reading about boats getting kicked out of marinas up north. They aren’t making any more waterfront.

Let us know what you think? I am coming down in a couple of weeks to roam around on foot.

I rent a slip at Longboat Key Moorings within walking distance of my home. Great marina and a wonderful hurricane hole. Slip prices have gone crazy recently. Even so, some long term owners are still underwater. It's a very volatile market.

I think short term like 2-3 years you stand the chance of market fluctuations you could end up underwater. We are thinking 10 years minimum and with the end of waterfront plus marinas getting not just full but picky about who and what boats we will do quite well. Longboat is nice but price is higher and $65K to join the club just to use the pool? I'll pass. But tip of the hat to Longboat. Their pricing structure is working. Keeping riff raff like me away!

Hey Madhatter,
I just saw a slip on Craigslist in Island way yacht club for $127K.
15X45 foot 😎
