While out this past weekend I had the genny running and all was well until it shut down due to overheat. Undid the bolts to check the strainer and shove a coathanger thru the seacock which cleared the critters or whatever was blocking the intake. While reinstalling the strainer and putting the cover plate back on the T bolt on the seacock which holds the cover plate on broke. Used a long hoseclamp to jury rig the cover plate with just a few drops coming in while using the genny and close the seacock when not using however am wondering where to get replacement bolt and if it's something I can do as there is a pressed fitting holding the T bolt and I'm not sure how to get it out and reinstall. Any help?

Do you mean the bolt on the strainer top with the wing nut. If so these break often. They have a pin holding them in place and groco sells replacments just find a good marine store such as East End or Lighthouse Marine. You will need a drive pin and small hammer to push the pin out and a small C clamp to put it back in.

Yea thats the little bugger. Thanks for the info. Will try to get it done this weekend.

Skip,

Oceanport Landing should have them or can get it for you.

They're in the Lewis Bros catalog as well.
