- 53' MOTOR YACHT (1969 - 1988)
Well we called on Spanish Wells and decided to stay in the Yacht Haven Marina our first time in a marina in over 90 days.
Those of you who have been here know it is a special place for the Bahamas partly because the population is almost entirely white, decendants of Royalist who unlike others that settled the Bahamas these people were fishermen and Lobsters' and survived because they were not dependent on the soil and fresh water to survive. At any rate the whole settlement is immaculate with colorfully painted houses and very well maintained properties. Unlike most of the rest of the Bahamas they don't rely on tourism for their livelyhood. They supply most of the Bahamas with seafood and so are very prosperous or were until deisel has gone so high.
Will probably cross to the Abaco's tomorrow weather permitting where we will hang out until mid may and then back to Florida and up the east coast.
