Boatsonice prevents algae growth on hull

I have a small center console without bottom paint that I'm trying not to paint but want to leave in my slip next to the big boat for a couple of weeks at a time. Has anyone had experience with one of these ultrasonic algae busters and do they work, I'm a bit skeptical.

I have seen various types of ultrasonic gadgets for keeping the bottom clean. Never seen one work.
