A different Oligarch, was found hanged in his garage in London, UK. Sorry, no name, no info except was in his London $33M mansion. Don't know if mansion was in the "London Square Mile" or not.

Note this was a Ukranian national. The title "Oligarch" is being thrown around indiscriminately these days. Ukraine is (was) a moderately successful attempt at democracy and not an Oligarchy.

Florida pulled this crap in the 80’s seizure laws were so bad if you bounced a check they could seize your Mercedes’
LE was on a drunken rampage to seize whatever in the name of the drug war. Fortunately I was friends with the local sheriff but I saw it first hand. Boats cars airplanes all with out due process. The law read anyone “arrested” for a felony could have their assets seized. You could go to court be found innocent but your stuff was still gone. With no compensation. The manatee craze was the same with boats being confiscated just because they violated a arbitrary “manatee” zone. I have no sympathy for these “alleged” oligarchs but when you creat a lynch mob mentality at some point they are going to come for your stuff too.

Still happening today, all over the country. Some in law enforcement consider it a for profit business. Legal advice is to not carry cash, anywhere. You have to sue to get your money back, and legal costs are not recoverable.
