It appear's that I have lost my mind..again! One of the only boats I have ever looked at that the boat looks way better in person than the pic's in the ad! This boat was as close to NEW condition as I have ever seen! I was able to pick it up for way less than the cost of a used center console so I just couldn't pass her up!! She was owned by a wonderful older couple that loved her dearly for the last fifteen years on the Great Lakes, but just couldn't enjoy her anymore due to health issues. My only regret is that its time to put her away for the season already and I'll have to wait until next summer to enjoy her. I have a fairly short punch list of small issues that came up at survey that will be corrected over winter layup. I'm looking forward to enjoying next summer in the Great Lakes and not trying to boat in the SUMMER HEAT of FL!!
Ya, I know....two plus boat owner again! But at the moment it feels like Christmas!!:)

Great looking boat and Merry Christmas!

I think I know the boat and owner from about 10 years ago. We spoke just after he bought her and ran her up Lk MI. He paid a retired USCG guy to "detail" the ER, after he brought her up to Cheboygan, again about 10 years ago; so the ER should look good.

He (the owner) told me he brought her up Lk MI in big seas and high winds, and never slowed down; he ran hard. Quote "She's supposed to be able to run in any sea and so I did just that..." and he wanted to and did prove that!

That is a very rare and beautiful vessel, when Bertram's were "tough in the boondocks". No skinned coring in that boat. Congratulations!

Lucky lucky you. What a find.

Thanks guys....I know she's not a Hatt. but has to be about as close as you can get as far as quality and performance goes!! I took a chance on the engine hours but the price I paid reflects that and WW Williams surveyed them with no issues found! She smokes a bit for the first min. or two after start up but then clears up with no smoke at all after that! I'm praying that they make it another 1,000 hrs or so before that bill shows up!!

No need to make excuses for buying a 60 Bertram. That's an amazing boat with a fantastic ride. Best of luck!

Very nice, congrats! 16v92s yowza! I would love to take a ride on your boat, I haven't any experience with V16s. A question for all readers, if a judgment can be made on visible smoke from say 6v53s and then 16v92s would it be only those familiar with both engines to know which, if either is excessive? Or is excess smoke simply obvious from either engine?

Much depends on ambient conditions and the smoke itself. but one shouldn't smoke more or
Less than the other.

Natural tend to smoke less.

Just part of the physics of the engines.

Sent you a pm.
