I LOVE boatyards.

I like putsing around the docks. Except for those pesky gates with a key or combo. But, with a kayak I don't have that problem.... and no one looks down.

I’ve always wondered how these things with the tacked on extension handle. Just doesn’t seem right

I love wondering and working in boat yards.

Something about getting sweaty and dirty. Tyvec coveralls with hood, respirators, face shields and gloves taped at the wrist all on a 98 degree day. A real wet suit!

Much to see and do.

I really enjoy wandering through a boatyard , but it’s hard unless you know the management. Airports were once easy to wander through and the people enjoyed explaining and showing you planes . That wasn’t that long ago , when we were a civil and trusting country, we’ve lost a lot . Also I have heard that a hull should not be lengthened more than 10% of water line length. Unless running gear is extended too.

SERIOUSLY??? The 58 TC sub has a 7 foot extension that was done in Ft Lickerdale (forgot who), but looks as fair as a factory job. ZERO handling issues and the LWL helps in hull speed and economy as well. Hell, we ran 11 MPH at 1200 rpm from Mobile and was burning 100 gallons in a 10 hour day including all the locks. ws

IDK I watched a woman in the grocery store the other day with a big bubble butt knock over a display of cereal boxes when she turned around. Seems like that would be an issue also with a boat with an extended butt. No?

What are these MPH things you speak of?
