Looking for recommendations on the good and poor choices for boat soap for external washing.

To narrow the question some, our boat is an outdoor boat that is in the flight path of both the Marine Air Station, Cherry Point, in Havelock, NC and the medium size commercial New Bern, NC airport. Thus one of the prime substances falling out of the sky is fuel. Add our fair share of sea gulls, smaller birds, high humidity mold and you have the stew that must be removed. Already have my order of Clorox Foamer for the sea gulls remains.

While Alexseal paint is the primary surface to be cleaned, suggestions on Sunbrella canvas would also be helpful.

Thanks

I use "Roll Away" by MaryKate. Works good.

There is only one boat soap--Woody Wax Pine Boat Soap.

Smoove boat soap.

Has anyone tried any of the ceramic coatings instead of wax?
Used Flitz "Sealant" on our little boat mid July, so far so good.
From Flitz, "Creates a "ceramic shell" type coating preventing from any harmful/damaging absorption to occur to your surface.
Protects for up to 8 months to a year and covers 1,100 sq. ft.! Body Shop Safe, and most importantly... THIS IS NOT A WAX!"

Have a lot of friends that have had their cars done with various nano ceramic coatings at detail shoppes and love the results.

Orpine is what I use. Tried others but it seem to work the best.

I would never use any of the pine oil stuff. I like this for the whole boat:

If 20 people respond, I'll bet you get 20 different answers; kinda like asking which varnish is best.

Curious as to why not? I've just about used it all over the years and none really seemed any better than the other honestly...

Maybe its better to get salt off, but the Teflon stuff works best for me. It cleans but it still beads the water off and leaves no residue so it doesn't spot even it you don't shammy. My wax/polish looks good all year without reapplying and the bird crap comes off easily without staining.

Oils remove oils in the paint.
