Apparently it was an American tug. But reports are it was the inverter system. Another lithium fire?

I talked to someone who knew the boat said the owner had some sketchy DIY wiring with the alternator inverter setup.

Certrainly possible. But it is the Bahamas and who knows how this will be reported.

For my interest and what I try to comment on correctly, I would like to hear more of this event and the cause.
I have worked on a few American Tugs with the gyro stabilizer. They used an inverter to operate with out the gen-set running.
