Does anyone know whether my block heaters might be tied in, in any way, to the electronics of my 1292 DDEC engines? I know the DDEC's are slightly lower compression engines making the use of block heaters more important. But, before I go ripping into the wiring of the block hearers, I wanted to make certain that I was not messing around with any electrical part of the DDEC's. My mechanical 892's would have left me with no questions on that score.

Areyou having a problem with the block heaters, why mess with it?

If DDEC III, the block heaters are not connected to the engine electronics in any way. I don't know about other versions but I would think not. DDEC is 12 0r 24 VDC and block heaters are 120/ 240 VAC.
