The power indicator light for the DC electric panel on the stb side of the saloon has been burned out since we bought the boat. I replaced the bulb and notice that after it lights up, it then flashes much like a buoy light. Is it supposed to blink?

Thanks,

A good reminder for me to change the bulb in mine also !! the two lights on my 120 v panel, stay on solid when the batts are charging and the HW htr is recharging, once done the lights flicker. no idea why.

Mine stay on solid until just before burning out and then blink- might try another new bulb?

All the bulbs in my panel are neon. As they age they get weak and start to blink. I've tried 130v industrial indicator bulbs but they dont seem to last. Make sure they are not 240v I have a seperate stove panel and feed that uses 240v bulbs.

It's the bulb, not the boat. I took a close look at the package the bulbs came in. The fine print explains it. It is a flashing bulb. I thought only Christmas tree light flashed.

My bad.
