Bilge hose

Can bilge hose be cut and rejoined
Also how do the end pieces for the hose get fixed on Have not seen the end pieces for sale

I just replaced entire length - I bought a box and cut sections to fit, with hose clamps at the fittings. I did put in check valves mimicking the original installation. In my engine room the originals were glassed in under the engine room outboard decking so I ran new ones and clamped them to the bulkhead.
