That would be me. I will answer some questions in advance. The owner is getting on and has not used the boat in a year. I will be taking him out tomorrow. The boat is very nice, well equipped and can be run anywhere and I will deliver it if needed. There was a tire kicker who wasted 4 months of our time. The boat went through a hull and engine survey as well as a haulout. No engine items noted other than the exchangers are due as temp hit 190 @WOT 19+kts. Held 180@17 kts. Just a couple nit picks on the hull survey. Boat has NO blisters. The tire kicker never owned anything other than 18 ft and got scared with the size and systems.
The engines have 900 hrs since a COMPLETE overhaul. Everything fron cranks to intercoolers were replaced. Well into six figures in 1999. Myself and Roger did all the work. I replaced the #1 gen in 2000 with a new 21kw Kohler, the other 20kw Kohler has under 500 hr since it was gone through by the previous owner. Doc has owned the boat since 1998 and I have done all the work on it since. He has 900,000 invested in the boat and it is time for a new owner.
Dave
You and me both Bruce. That looks like a heck of a buy, and the fact that Dave and Roger have done the service work all that time makes it even more attractive.
Hope no one was snoozing, the boat is sold. I will be taking it to either Ft Laud or Palm Beach to be loaded for its trip to her new home in Austrailia.
Didn't this boat used to be at the yacht and country club there in Tampa where there is also an equestrian center? I am pretty sure we looked at her in the spring of 2007 when we were boat shopping. We thought it was 100k high then.
Is the new owner the same chap who was looking here on the forum? He was an Australian working here, looking here, and wanted a nice ride to take home in a few months / year. That would be great if it was...
