I spent the last ten days on my 43 DCMY at anchor off of Cabbage Key chasing tarpon in Boca Grande pass from a flats boat.
My starboard (house) battery bank ran down to 0 one night. Apparently I had turned off the battery charger so the generator could not start it. Fortunately, the port battery was fresh from the generators alternator and I parallelled the por to tstarboard and got the starboard engine started. It charged and held a charge after the 11 hour cruise home.
Does anyone know if there is a way to run the house side DC from the port battery bank on these boats? Presently the two battery barrel switches both are dialed to "Both". I assume some configuration would move the house load to the port side but am not sure.
Thanks
Bruce
