Hatteras Model
41' CONVERTBLE-Series II (1986 - 1991)
This was taken in the cut at Normans cay. We were anchored overnight just west of the airplane wreck. The anchor held in 2.5 kts of current that changed 180 degrees.

That is a Sweet shoot :)

The old airplane is anything left last time I saw it a lot of it disapeared from the time pior. Norman's has some story to it I remember seeing shortly after they got it back. Everything had a bullet hole in it ;)

Hey Gary... did you use a polarizing filter on that shot? Its simply gorgeous!
I wish I could jump right in to the monitor! ws

Bill, just a cheap digital. The actual photo is a little better the upload took away some quality.

I got lucky as the sun, shadows etc were in the best position. Plus the color of the water was awesome.

Nice shot! Days like that numb the pain from the fuel dock. Here's a fews shots from a fun afternoon at Seal Cay.

Ever had anyone take you up on that name? :D

Dan actually most the plane is there although it is the first time I've seen it. Both engines are complete including propellors.

Now that's a trigger fish LOL

On top of Shroud Cay overlooking the most beautiful beach I've ever seen. We were the only people around had to set camera on some rocks and auto shutter.

Gary -- Great Pics!! Looks like you aqnd the kids had some fun! Did you make it over to Eleuthera like we talked about? Just got back from Turks & Caicos, Crooked/Acklins and San Salvador. Give me a call so we can plan next years adventure or a trip out in the gulf this August.

Toby

GaryD, whenever you go to sell your boat I suggest that you use that pic in the ad. It is awesome! I love Norman's Cay! Exploring there after reading the history is simply incredible. Anywhere in the Exuma's is about as good as it gets and you're only a couple hundred miles off south FL. We honeymooned throughout the Exuma's and go back every chance we get. Why go all the way to the Caribbean with this so close to home?

Here is a pic taken last month while we were anchored off Cape Santa Maria on Lond Island which is about 20 miles east of Georgetown, Exumas. Swimming pool clarity and the diving is world class.

I'm proud to be a Bahama Bum any opportunity I get! Unfortunately, we have not made it to the Bahamas on our own boat just yet. Sweet Melissa is still on the Gulf Coast in Orange Beach, AL. We are headed back to Louisiana this weekend to be safe before hurricane season gets into full swing.

Our trips to those kinds of places are always on someone else's boat (the best kind!) but we'll get Sweet Melissa there someday hopefully soon. We were going to do it last summer but the paint job took all the time and money. This year the combination of fuel costs and time constrains held us back.

Now you're the PawPaw with the big yacht! The waters are just as beautiful as you remember and the people are fantastic and even speak our language! At the rate you're going, you'll have your own yacht in beautiful blue waters before you know it. PawPaw would be so proud of you!

GO YACHTSMANBILL!!!

Thirdhatt I will be in orange beach around Sept 12th. If you are around I would love to have a drink.

I will be all over the SE Including Venics LA, Cocodrie LA, Rockport TX and up the east cost like Fernandina and wrightsville NC.

Anyone in these areas lets have a drink if schedules permit.

Aw Scott, I would have loved to meet up with you! Unfortunately we are going back home this weekend. It has been a great time and Orange Beach is big fun. I am not a fisherman, but the fishing down here is pretty big. If you like, I can hook you up with a really cool guy that will show you all the hot spots because he grew up here and has been fishing all his life.

If you need anything while you are in south Louisiana please do not hesitate to contact me anytime.

AW SHUCKS!!! ws

Toby, never got to the big E. Winds were not favorable the day we thought we might go. Kids had a ball. Yep we need to hook up maybe we should start a get together over Labor day.

TH, that area looks great we might have to try to get down there next time.

Mike, did you tow the flats boat over if so how'd that work? we are thinking of towing our bay boat over next year. So once we get over we'd use that and the hatt less.
