Back deck construction.

I am 99% sure of the answer but have to confirm that the back deck on my 53 is a fiberglass/balsa laminate? Thanks.

Yep!!! Don’t drill any holes and make sure the FB ladder screws are sealed.

you can drill holes but make sure you do it properly, drill oversize hole through top skin and balsa, fill hole with epoxy then drill the proper size hole for your screw
