Dear Forum Members,
I have the first auto pilot ever made
- the Robertson AP 100. It was working just fine, then I believe I sustained some hurricane Sandy-related damage.
In the middle of the storm I noted a "pump running" sound coming from the port ER. Went up on the fly bridge, and noted that the auto pilot display was on, though the knob was in the off position. I went to the ER and turned it off using the breaker.
Currently, though the power switch on the display seems to turn the display on and off, THE PUMP WILL NOT STOP RUNNING. What do you think may be the cause?
Unfortunately, even under the boat stays in a covered shed, I believe I may have gotten water intrusion during the storm, which may have caused the problem. Could it be the solenoid?
Thanks very much for your help.
