  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
37' CONVERTIBLE (1977 - 1982)
I have a fresh water leak on the top bunk starboard side of my 37C with tower. Sometimes big storm dry. Sometimes big storm wet 10oz or so. Outside, in the vacinity there is the midship cleat, rail stantions and one of the tower's front posts. I want to rebed but if I unscrew will a nut and washer drop off inside between my headliner ect?
Just asking
Hal

the rail and the cleats have backing plates molded into the fiberglass when the boat was made, they drill and tap them then mount the rails and cleats. i think your tower will have backing plates with washers and nuts

Thanks. I should note there is a Fuller Brush portlite there as well.

hal, you might want to change the seal on your port light. i had a leak in my v berth when in big waves or heavy rain, i changed the seals and the leaks are gone
