Hatteras Model
48' LRC (1976 - 1981)
This appears to be some kind of temperature sensor. The picture is taken in the galley of my LRC with the headliner down beneath the boat deck. The metal plate with the three bolts is the baseplate for my mast. So there would be nothing that protrudes through the deck above it. It says therm o disc. Is this for some type of factory fire alarm?

Fire sensor??????

Any fire suppressing plumbing in the galley? Could be part of an auto fire extinguisher? Seems to make sense given it is located in the galley ceiling. Maybe it shuts things down automatically. Have a look at the schematics.

Fire sensor/heat sensor. Ties in with your Hatteras systems monitor ( if still functional )

I was wondering about that. Most of the print is worn off so I can't tell what some of the indicator lights are supposed to be indicating. I'd like to try to make all of that functional if it's not. Anybody have a picture of what it looks like? I could just add labels if I knew what it should say.

Depends on where it is. I have them in the ceiling on each engine room as well as on the exhaust elbow. Fire and over heating alarms.
